IT WAS A GREAT RIDE!

There were four teams standing at the end, and we were one of them We fought the good fight and we just came up a little short. However, there were many, many positives in the season we all had. The boys played well, and they seemed to be enjoying the experience. In addition, at the end of the season, I saw 12 boys that knew how to play the game of baseball much better then they did at the beginning.
It was a truly fabulous experience for the coaches as well as the team. Maybe next time, we will all go a bit further towards our goals.

Watch out Suffern Little League.... Here come the CUBS. This team gets better and better each and every week. I am slowly running out of superlatives to compliment how improved this team is. Once again, you combine great hitting, fantastic pitching, and all around solid defense and you come up with an 11-3 victory over a shocked Astro team. The game balls were given to Levi, who did it all. He pitched... He hit...and he fielded like a pro. The other game ball went to Brandon, who made a great defensive play in the outfield, got a key hit, and played an all around great game. WAY TO GO CUBS.

Trailing 6-1 we came back.... trailing 9-6, we came back... Not one of us... But all of us. A team effort. Defense...Timely hittling... Great clutch pitching, and a very sweet victory to all be proud of. We never gave up, and the end results proved it.Winning 12-10 in the way we did was something that every Cub on that field should take a bow. Three of the many stars of that game were Matt L. with his over all team play, from hitting to fielding to running, Then there was Eric, who seems to get better and better at playing the game of baseball each and every week. Especially, his hitting game. Last, but certainly not least, was Gordon, who pitched 'lights out' in the last two innings to secure the victory. Congratulations Cubs...A well deserved victory.

A Reason To Smile Again...

What a very, very sweet game. The defense was fabulous Great plays made by Gordon, Matt L., Oliver, Kyle, & Rob. We beat the Phillies 8-5 and we looked very good. The game balls went to Matt L. for his base running and his defense. The other game balls went to Kyle for pitching three brilliant innings and his brother Scott who helped us out and got a key hit and scored a run.

It Was A Good Day At the Ballpark!

The bats were booming and the gloves were catching everything in sight. We took care of the Orioles today 21-5. We did it with some amazing defensive plays by Matt L., Levi, & Gordon. The big hits came from Brenden Justin, Eric, and just about everyone else. The game balls went to Brenden,Matthew B., Justin & Eric. Great job gentlemen, and a very nice win for the Cubs.

OUCH!! & DOUBLE OUCH!!

It was a hard night for the Cubs. We couldn't seem to catch anything that was hit to us. We were beaten badly by the Might Mariners 17-4. However, there were 3 game balls handed out. Jake, who was one of the few that did catch everything that was hit to him and Oliver, who once again hit the ball and hit it far, along with Brenden who pitched 3 courageous innings for us. Hopefully, next game we will have a reason to smile.
